The Heart Center of Eastern Carolina is located in coastal North Carolina near some of the most beautiful rivers and beaches in the country.  Our two offices are in New Bern and Morehead City and serve patients from a dozen counties with a population of approximately half a million.  We have outstanding working relationships with our two primary regional hospitals and work with hundreds of excellent referring physicians.

Our region has a robust real estate market with much new residential and commercial construction.  Our public schools are considered excellent for their size, plus there are several private academies and parochial schools also located in the area.  There are plenty of recreational opportunities, especially for lovers of the water.  Our retail markets are brisk and growing.  The market is served by excellent professionals in law, banking, accounting and investment brokerage.  None of our cities is more than three hours drive from the capital of Raleigh, plus there are regional airports in New Bern, Jacksonville, Kinston and Greenville that connect with hubs in Charlotte, Raleigh and Atlanta.  There are churches representing every major faith and denomination.

New Bern

New Bern was North Carolina’s colonial capital and is still steeped in history and heritage.  But New Bern is also one of the most vibrant, growing communities in the state.  Located at the confluence of the Trent and Neuse Rivers, New Bern is a wonderful community for fans of the water and aquatic recreation like sailing and water skiing.  Craven County’s economy is well balanced between tourism, manufacturing, retail and the military.  Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point is located in Havelock in the eastern end of the county.

Morehead City

Morehead City is the county seat of Carteret County, which is one of North Carolina's finest tourist destinations. Morehead City is the economic hub for communities including the quaint sailing village of Beaufort, and a barrier island of beach communities including Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle and Pine Knoll Shores. There are plenty of recreational opportunities for the water lover. The real estate market is active and plenty of retail shopping abounds.
