The Heart Center of Eastern Carolina sees patients by referral from their primary care physicians or by self-referal. Routine office hours are observed between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays.

     When you come for your initial appointment, please try to arrive 15 minutes early to assist our administrative staff with your paperwork. A list of current medication you’re taking and any allergies you may have will be helpful information. If your insurance requires you to have a letter of referral from your primary care physician, please bring that with you. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify the appropriate office at least one day in advance.

     For after-hours care, call the appropriate regular daytime telephone number for our New Bern or Morehead City offices and the recording will refer you to the physician on call. For emergency care, proceed to your hospital emergency room and our on-call physician will be notified.

     Should you call with a question for a physician or other member of the staff, we will make every effort to respond to you the same day the call was received. We appreciate your patience.
